Say Hello to ´BOB´ - San Francisco Restaurateur Opens BEST-O-BURGER

SAN FRANCISCO, May. 09 /PRNewswire/ --

SAN FRANCISCO, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned restaurateur Stephen Weber has opened the first BEST-O-BURGER (BOB for short) gourmet mini-burger franchise at 89 Belden Place in San Francisco.

"BOB is a fun idea, a small indulgence, a great taste with very little guilt," said Weber. "Its fast food that you'll take your time eating."

Weber is joined in his venture by Nick Graham, the founder of the JOE BOXER underwear company, whose marketing firm "The 100 Minute Company," will assist in BOB's strategic growth. Graham will serve as Chief Bun Officer, while Weber will be Chief Burger Officer.

The concept for BOB comes from Weber's childhood love affair with the classic mini-burgers of the 1950's. His vision builds on that success with contemporary sensibilities: the highest quality ingredients at a price and size that allow the customer to decide how much to eat, all presented with a sense of humor, as indicated by the name.

BEST-O-BURGER will offer the BOB Burger, BOB Cheeseburger, as well as a Top-O-The-Morning sandwich. All burgers will be made from all natural Angus beef, fresh, never frozen and all BOB burgers are individually seared in cast iron skillets and come with some of "BOB's secret stuff." Additionally, BOB will serve the Vegg-O Burger.

"Our Vegg-O Burger redefines what consumers have come to expect from a vegetarian burger," added Burger Boss and Executive Chef Randy Lewis, a Food and Wine Magazine Best New Chef alumni. The Vegg-O Burger consists of fresh mushrooms, garlic, four cheeses and more of "BOB's secret stuff."

Additionally, all BOB buns are baked fresh on premise all day long. "Our gourmet mini-hamburgers will be the best out there," said Graham, whose company will also assist with brand marketing, "and like the underwear business, the buns will be fresh!"

In addition to burgers, BOB will offer a new take on side items. Strings and Ring-O's, BOB's name for fries and onion rings, will be cooked in 100% rice oil. BOB's shakes will be made out of Italian Gelat-O and BOB's Best-O cookies will be made from recipes submitted by customers on the BEST-O-BURGER website, http://www.bestoburger.com.

"We've got a high quality team and a high quality product," added Weber, "and we're confident that as our saying goes, 'You'll Flip Over 'Em!'"

The first BEST-O-BURGER will be located at 89 Belden Place in San Francisco. Plans call for several additional locations opening around the Bay Area by years end. For more information, please visit BOB's website at http://www.bestoburger.com.
