Industry Leaders Honor Barry Gosin and Jeffrey Gural at UJA-Federation of New York´s 2008 Annual Real Estate Luncheon

NEW YORK, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- UJA-Federation of New York's Real Estate and Allied Trades Division honored Barry M. Gosin, CEO, and Jeffrey Gural, chairman, both of global real estate advisory firm Newmark Knight Frank, with its Jack D. Weiler Award at its recent annual luncheon at The Pierre in Manhattan. This year, professionals from the real estate, construction, and allied-trades industries, including developers, owners, brokers, attorneys, and investment strategists, have collectively raised more than $16 million for UJA-Federation of New York.

The event at the Pierre attracted more than 600 attendees.

Gosin has served as CEO of Newmark Knight Frank since 1979. In addition to spearheading and guiding Newmark Knight Frank's global expansion initiatives, he has been responsible for leasing more than 30 million square feet of New York City real estate over the last decade. His clients include Citigroup Inc.; Bloomberg L.P.; Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison; The Bank of New York; and North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, a UJA-Federation beneficiary agency.

Gural serves as chairman of Newmark Knight Frank, which manages approximately 150 buildings in the New York metropolitan area. He is directly responsible for all acquisitions and the managing and leasing of 8 million square feet of property, comprising his family portfolio and properties that he and Newmark Knight Frank's principals own. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank in 1972, Gural was an executive at Morse-Diesel Construction Co., where he was responsible for the supervision and construction of more than 1 million square feet of office space in Manhattan.

Gosin serves on the board of F.E.G.S. Health and Human Services System, a UJA-Federation beneficiary agency, and Gural is president of the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation's New York chapter, is chairman of the "I Have a Dream" Foundation of New York, and serves on the board of numerous other local nonprofits.
